Responsibility
Our curriculum is designed to develop metacognition or 'deep learning'.
This entails our children acquiring a set of values and dispositions to ensure their learning of knowledge and development of skills. A key attribute of an effective learner is the ability to take responsibility for their own learning: to plan, take action, reflect, modify and evaluate.
Without responsibility learning is
passive and reliant on the teacher. Therefore responsibility is a key
attribute within our trust.
