Academic Performance

At the Academies for Character and Excellence, we are proud to share our end-of-year academic results. These outcomes reflect the unwavering commitment of our pupils, staff, and families to academic excellence, character development, and inclusive education. In summary, the significant improvement in progress and attainment of all schools directly correlates to the time they have been part of  the Trust.

  • 3% increase in combine expected and 3% increase in greater depth combined RWM from 2024.

  • Disadvantaged pupils achieved 70% in RWM, outperforming national averages by 26%

Year 1 Phonics Screening Check

The Trust continues to perform highly in the Phonics Screening Check with a 3% increase from 2024 and 10% higher than national.

  • 91% of pupils passed the check (National: 79%)

  • A significant number of schools achieved 95%+ pass rates.

  • Disadvantaged pupils 83% and 16% higher than national.  (National: 67%)

“These results are a testament to the hard work of our pupils and the relentless dedication of our staff. We are especially proud of the progress made by our disadvantaged learners, which reflects our commitment to equity and excellence.”

“We don’t just teach for tests—we teach for life. These outcomes show that academic rigour and character education go hand in hand.”

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate these achievements, we remain focused on:

  • Training staff to effectively implement the ACE curriculum

  • Sustaining high standards across all Trust schools in all year groups

  • Closing attainment gaps with a laser focus on the disadvantaged gap to be less than 10% and at least 80% combined

We thank our entire Trust family for making 2025 a year of growth, innovation and excellence.
