Fatma Sabet

Fatma has worked in schools both in the UK through her doctoral research and in France as a secondary school teacher. This familiarised Fatma with schools as living systems with diverse contexts and rich backgrounds.
Fatma worked for Shillingford Organics for 6 years setting up Shillingford Organics Farm School, an educational and social enterprise aiming to educate the public about food and promote healthy and sustainable food culture.
Fatma’s doctoral research project enabled her to work with key informants in the field of school food, and not only she was able to develop a strategical framework for healthy and sustainable school food, but also apply it with multiple case studies in the Southwest of England.
Fatma would like to draw on her skills as an educator, academic and communicator to support the Trust and inspire change during times of health and climate crisis.
