Jackie Gater

Jackie spent over 25 years as an Early Years teacher in a Torbay Primary School before taking up a post as an Early Years Consultant with Torbay Authority. This role involved supporting pre-schools, nurseries and schools across the Bay with a particular focus on developing literacy but also training teachers and other staff.
She retired five years ago.

 

She has been a Governor at Collaton Primary School since 2013 and Chair of Governors for the last two years.
