Paul Bailey

Paul was previously a Member of ACE and was subsequently appointed a Trustee in December 2023. Paul is a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and is a lead Trustee for Health & Safety and Estates.  

 

Following a career in the finance sector, Paul has focussed on supporting academy groups and schools in various voluntary governance roles to help them to maximise their effectiveness and better support their pupils, staff and wider stakeholders.

 

Paul is currently a Trustee of the SGS Academy Trust, a Gloucestershire based MAT and has previously been a Trustee and Vice-Chair of the Lighthouse Schools Partnership, a North Somerset based MAT, and a Governor of Cotham Gardens Primary School in Bristol.

 

Paul’s previous commercial experience covered areas including operations, finance, risk management, human resources, strategy and project management. Paul has a BA in Economics from Manchester University and an MSc in Strategy, Leadership and Change from Bristol University.

Paul lives with his wife and daughter in Bristol and enjoys indoor climbing, tennis, chess and walking.
