Brixham C of E Primary School were delighted to receive our SIAMs report in March of this year. The SIAMs inspection has seven areas that we are evaluated against including; how we live out our vision of 'Life in all it's fullness', our curriculum, work with the community, Trust and Church engagement and how we enable all children in our school to flourish.
The inspector was very impressed with the way in which children spoke and how they could articulate their learning with such confidence. We were delighted that the inspector identified the following strengths of the school:
The Christian vision is at the heart of this school, it inspires innovation and consistently shapes daily life.
The quality of support for pupils who have special educational needs and/or a disability (SEND) is high. It very effectively raises pupils’ aspirations so they can flourish.
The nurture for disadvantaged families and pupils going through challenging times is transformational. As a result, they feel valued and loved.
There is a strong tangible culture of treating individuals with a high degree of dignity and respect, so pupils and adults are welcomed.
The Academies for Character and Excellence (ACE) support for the school is impressive. They enhance pupils’ progress and enable staff to thrive. Read the full report here:
