The Very Reverend John Richardson

John Richardson has extensive experience in the education sector with his work as a Parish Priest across five dioceses of the Church of England and Dean of Bradford. This was in church, community, and public independent schools. He has served as Chaplain in two Agricultural chaplaincies and from 2013-2024 was Chairman and Pioneer of the Diocese of Canterbury Multi Academy Trust, Aquila, serving sixteen primary schools. He was also a Member and Vice Chairman of the Canterbury Board of Education.

 

John too has been involved in pioneering education projects in Uganda since 1999 as a stakeholder, Trustee and Chairman of Mildmay specialising with those living with HIV /Aids.

 

He is married to Sue who is a retired special needs children of over forty years and a former Magistrate. They have three children and ten grandchildren and returned to Exeter in May 2025.
