Shaldon Primary School awarded ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED in all five judgement criteria
Pupils and staff at Shaldon Primary School in Teignbridge, Devon, are incredibly proud to have been judged ‘Outstanding’ in all areas in their recent Ofsted inspection.
The school, on Bridge Road, in the heart of Shaldon village, is now in the top 16 per cent of schools across England after receiving the highest possible rating, as it achieved ‘Outstanding’ in all five categories of the inspection framework.
The Ofsted report identified the ‘inspirational teaching’ at the school, along with the ‘exceptional quality of education’. Inspectors noted the fact that pupils ‘excel at this school’ and that those with SEND ‘learn exceptionally well’.
Jenny Stewart, Headteacher of Shaldon Primary, expressed her delight at the outcome, attributing the success to the dedicated efforts of the school’s staff, children and families. ‘We are thrilled with this outcome because it is testament to the hard work and commitment of our amazing team, our wonderful children, and their supportive families,’ said Mrs Stewart. ‘The collaboration of our whole school community and our academy trust has led to this impressive result.’
